According to Korean media, the Seoul High Court has rejected the appeal of NewJeans members regarding the ban filed by ADOR. The court upheld the previous ruling of the Seoul Central District Court, which sided with ADOR in its request to maintain its exclusive quyen over the group and block the members' independent advertising contracts.
After the latest ruling, ADOR issued an official statement on June 18, expressing gratitude to the court and encouraging NewJeans members to return to their group activities. The management company also pledged to support the group as they prepare to celebrate their three-year debut in July.
NewJeans announced that their exclusive contract had been terminated in November 2024 due to ADOR being accused of breaching the contract and starting to pursue independent promotions. In response, ADOR filed a lawsuit to confirm the validity of the contracts and request a ban on independent activities of NewJeans members.
The ongoing dispute has attracted significant public attention, with many fans hoping for a solution before the group's anniversary.
