According to the latest data released by Billboard, BTS's fifth studio album "Arirang" rose to 9th place on the Billboard 200 chart, with 41,000 album-equivalent units sold.
This achievement helps "Arirang" to be in the top 10 Billboard 200 for the 10th consecutive week. This is the first time a Korean artist's album has reached the milestone of 10 consecutive weeks in the group of 10 most popular albums in the US, setting a new record for K-pop on this prestigious chart.
Previously, "Arirang" debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200 in March 2026 and maintained the top spot for three consecutive weeks. In its first week of release, the album also recorded the highest opening sales of a group in more than a decade in the US music market.
The success of "Arirang" is considered proof of BTS's persistent appeal after many years of operation. The album not only achieved outstanding sales but also received positive feedback from international fans thanks to its diversity in musical colors as well as messages imbued with Korean cultural identity.
Besides the success in the charts, BTS is currently preparing for the next leg of the world tour "Arirang". The group's upcoming stop is at the Asiad Stadium in Busan on June 12 and 13.
Notably, the performance on June 13 coincided with the anniversary of BTS's debut. According to the plan, the program will be broadcast live at cinemas in many countries, helping fans around the world have the opportunity to follow this special event.
With consecutive achievements being established, BTS continues to show their leading position not only in Korea but also in the international music market, while contributing to expanding the influence of K-pop on major global charts.
