At a press conference on the afternoon of April 23, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports said that it had grasped the reflection on the case related to rapper B Ray and was coordinating with relevant units to consider and handle it according to legal regulations and artistic standards.
Previously, rapper B Ray (full name Tran Thien Thanh Bao) caused controversy on social networks after a rap in a livestream with the sentence "Because I want to sleep with all you beautiful girls".
This rap line was widely reacted to by the audience for being vulgar. Before B Ray, many Vietnamese singers were criticized for the song with offensive and out-of-standard lyrics.

Jack
In November 2025, the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports fined Jack (Trinh Tran Phuong Tuan) 55 million VND and suspended his performance activities for 9 months.
According to management agencies, at the music night held on October 16, 2025 at Cung Xuan (Bach Mai ward, Hanoi), the male singer performed a song that was assessed as inappropriate, showing signs of violating regulations on performing arts. After working with functional agencies, representatives of the event organizing unit also admitted errors in the censorship stage.
The song performed by Jack is said to have offensive lyrics and inappropriate language. Notably, there is a line that once caused controversy "Laos is always t**", which was later revised.

Artillery
At the end of October 2025, many viewers discovered that the MV "Sự nghiệp chướng" of rapper Phao (real name Nguyen Dieu Huyen) had been removed from online music listening platforms such as YouTube, Spotify and some other music streaming services.
This removal took place after Phao and the song "Sự nghiệp chướng" were mentioned by the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee in an official dispatch related to orienting and rectifying musical activities showing signs of cultural deviation.
In the text, some sentences in the song are quoted as typical examples of inappropriate language use in current musical composition.

Phao's song attracted attention with many lyrics that were judged to be heavily offensive, using crude language and expressing negative emotions, such as: "Who is the employee, who is the partner? This *** denies evil"...
These contents have created many mixed opinions in public opinion about the boundary between freedom of artistic creation and cultural standards in music.
Bao Anh
The MV "Nhu loi don" was released in 2018, a collaborative product between singer Bao Anh and musician Khac Hung.
Immediately after its release, the song faced many mixed opinions, in which many viewers said that the song's title was suggestive, controversial and somewhat deliberately created a media effect to attract attention.
The way the title was placed and the controversies surrounding the content caused both Bao Anh and Khac Hung at that time to receive no small amount of criticism from public opinion.
Previously, many MVs and other products were also criticized for lyrics, offensive and vulgar song naming, for example, the MVs of Huyen Sambi, Mr.A or a series of products such as "O mai chuoi" (Sĩ Thanh), "Nói dối" (Phương My), "Phiếu bé ngoan" (Yanbi ft. Mr.T), "Mượn xe nhớ đổ xăng" (Yuki Huy Nam), "Da nâu" (Phi Thanh Vân), "Đừng yêu em" (Lê Kiều Như) or "Tự sướng" (Mai Khôi)...
