Recently, Tran Thanh has attracted attention when confirming that he will participate in the project "Sword - Legend of the Red Wolf", directed by Kim Han Min.
In the international cast, Tran Thanh plays Seol In Gwi (Tiet Nhan Quy), an official of the An Dong Protectorate of the Tang Dynasty, who had an important influence on the political situation in Liaodong at that time.
The movie "The Sword - Legend of the Red Wolf" is set in 668, after the Goguryeo kingdom collapsed in Liaodong region.
The story revolves around Chil Seong (played by Park Bo Gum) - a memory-deprived slave, forced to step into the arena of life and death to win the legendary sword. According to the plan, "Sword - Legend of the Red Wolf" is expected to be released to audiences in 2027.

Korean newspapers commented that Tran Thanh was chosen to participate in the project thanks to his wide influence in Vietnam - one of the fast-growing Southeast Asian markets with a large young audience and increasingly stable theater going habits.
Not only is he a famous actor, Tran Thanh is also a director of many high-grossing films, with total project revenue reaching trillions of VND. The title "national actor" mentioned by Korean newspapers partly reflects his solid position in the domestic entertainment industry.
Tran Thanh's presence not only helps the project easily reach Vietnamese audiences but also creates a strong spillover effect in the region, becoming a strategic step for the Korean producer.

Previously, the actor born in 1987 said that he had learned to act in 3 languages: Chinese (Ancient Chinese), Turkish and Mongolian.
It is an honor for Tran Thanh to be involved in such a huge project in Korea. Thanh will try his best to not disappoint the audience who love cinema and the audience in Vietnam who have loved and trusted Tran Thanh throughout the past two decades of his career," he shared.
