Accordingly, 11 artists from the UK, France, USA, Italy, Japan... and Vietnam were selected to display their works in public spaces in Kyoto, as well as organize chat and portfolio evaluation events in a specially designed space from April to May 2026.
Among them, there is photographer Viet Van of Lao Dong newspaper, the only Vietnamese author, with a photo set of 10 works about old apartment buildings in Hanoi taken in 2 years with the title "Houses that will gradually disappear". The photo set has won a Silver Medal (Silver Awards) from the prestigious Budapest Foto Awards (Hungary) competition.
The photos in the exhibition include many different styles, from portraits, quiet everyday photos to abstract and artistic black and white photos. The organizers hope "works by artists from Japan and abroad will brighten up Kyoto in spring".
FotoZofio (Japan) is a photography and video project for 50+ artists with the idea of the organizers "If you don't tell your life story, it will disappear. This art project seeks to store all the notable things you have witnessed in your life to date recorded for posterity in the form of photo or video stories".
