On the afternoon of April 2, in Hanoi, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung chaired a meeting to listen to a report on the preparation of activities to serve the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

At the meeting, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung emphasized that the amount of work needed to prepare for activities to serve the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day is very large, so the units need to speed up the progress of assigned tasks.
Regarding the development of an operating scenario for the Commemoration Ceremony, parade, and march, the Minister said that this is a very important content.
After the Standing Committee of the Secretariat and the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee submitted to the Central Steering Committee for consideration and comments, the Ministry's Office and the Department of Performing Arts need to closely coordinate with relevant units to implement it consistently and methodically.
For the Art Program before the Ceremony, the Minister requested a thorough review of the script and content of the program, closely coordinating with relevant agencies to develop a program that is both political and ensures artistry, meeting the requirements.
The Minister also requested close coordination with Ho Chi Minh City, the Ministry of Public Security, and the Ministry of National Defense to calculate suitable venue and stage.
Regarding communication and journalism, the Minister assigned the Press Department to ensure good communication for the series of events, coordinate with relevant units to organize surveys and establish a Press Center, organize card issuance for working reporters. At the same time, organize activities and events well at the Press Center.
The Minister also assigned the Department of Cultural Affairs, Family and Library to coordinate with units and localities to organize propaganda and encouragement work; the Department of Fine Arts, Forestry and Exhibition to unify with agencies, organizations and localities in using the logo and identification kit for the 50th anniversary of the Southern Defense Day approved.
