After the Official Welcoming Ceremony at the Presidential Palace, on the morning of April 1, 2025, President Luong Cuong met with King of the Kingdom of Belgium Philippe.
One of the contents agreed by the two Leaders was to promote cooperation in important areas such as agriculture, education - training, culture - tourism, national defense - security, science and technology, and local cooperation.
At the same time, it will expand to other potential areas such as green technology, artificial intelligence, innovation, high technology, promoting the startup ecosystem, training high-quality human resources, especially in the semiconductor industry.
After the meeting on the morning of April 1, President Luong Cuong and King Philipp of Belgium witnessed the handover ceremony of cooperation documents, including the 2025-2027 Cooperation Program between the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Brussels Capital Region.

Through the signing of the Cooperation Program, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Brussels Capital Region committed to enhancing cultural exchanges through organizing art events, exhibitions and film festivals.
In addition, activities in the field of heritage, including the preservation and restoration of historical relics, the digitization of heritage data and sharing experiences in museum management are also priority contents of cooperation.
The cooperation program also focuses on creative industries such as cinema, photography, television and handicrafts. The parties will support each other in promoting films, attending international film festivals, preserving and digitizing cinematic works.
At the same time, the program also encourages cooperation between experts and filmmakers to promote the development of the film industry of the two countries.
In recent times, Vietnam and the Kingdom of Belgium have maintained cooperation in the field of culture, mainly through the French-speaking Belgian Community (Wallonie-Brussels) in many professional fields such as performing arts, fine arts, literature, cinema and listening, cultural heritage, museum education, etc.
Vietnam and the Kingdom of Belgium signed the Cultural Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Government of the French-speaking Belgian Community in 1993 and the Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the French-speaking Belgian Community in Wallonia and the French-speaking Community Committee in Brussels in 2002.
2025 is a year with many important national holiday celebrations, and is also a year of the even and round year between Vietnam and many strategic partner countries. The culture, sports and tourism sectors will promote the organization of international cultural exchange activities and events, while continuing to sign cooperation documents, as a basis for implementing further tasks.
