BTS attracted about 130,000 spectators in 2 "ticket-sold" performances at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, thereby setting a record for the number of spectators attending concerts at this venue.
According to the management company Big Hit Music, the 2 performances of BTS's "Arirang" tour on July 6-7 recorded the highest number of audiences for each concert since Tottenham Hotspur Stadium opened in April 2019.
This is a new milestone for BTS in London (UK). Previously, in 2019, the group became the first Korean artist to perform at Wembley Stadium as part of the "Love Yourself" tour.
In the 2 performances on July 6-7, BTS performed many songs from the new album such as "Hooligan", "Normal" and "Body to body", along with global hits such as "Idol" and "Fire".
BTS members shared through their management company: "It feels like we are reliving the emotions we experienced at Wembley Stadium 7 years ago.
Thanks to your enthusiasm, we had a great time. That also evokes many memories from previous concerts and once again reminds us that London audiences are always extremely enthusiastic.
BTS will continue their European tour with 2 shows at the Allianz Arena in Munich (Germany) on July 11-12, becoming the first Korean artist to take on the role of main performer (headliner) at this stadium.
After that, the group will continue to tour in Paris (France) on July 17-18, before participating in the first half-time performance program in the history of the World Cup final on July 19.
Previously, BTS's world tour "Arirang" led the Billboard Boxscore (USA) "Top Tours" chart for 2 consecutive months (April and May).
Compared to the previous month, revenue from BTS's May tour increased by 68%, while the audience increased by 54%. With 12 performances in May, BTS earned 127.8 million USD in revenue.
Billboard said this is the highest monthly touring revenue of a band since the chart was released in 2019. This figure is 35% higher than the record of 95 million USD set by the British rock band The Rolling Stones in August 2019.
Billboard predicts that BTS's "Arirang" tour is expected to surpass the revenue record of 213.9 million USD of the "Love Yourself" tour - which is the largest tour in the group's career.
