According to Korea Times, Korean-American singer and songwriter EJAE (real name Kim Eun Jae), who performed many songs for Netflix's hit animated film "Kpop Demon Hunters", is the Kpop artist with the most music streams in the US in 2025, according to new data released by entertainment company Luminate.
Luminate statistics show that in 2025, EJAE reached about 2.1 billion on-demand streams - a combination of audio listens and video views - ranking first among all Kpop artists in the US market.
EJAE is a former trainee of SM Entertainment, currently active as a musician and composer.
Recently, EJAE has attracted widespread attention thanks to her contribution to Netflix's hit animated film "Kpop Demon Hunters".
In the film, EJAE voices the character Rumi - the main vocalist of the fictional girl group Huntr/x. She is also the person who directly performs Huntr/x's songs, and also participates in writing lyrics for many soundtracks.
The song "Golden" co-written and performed by EJAE topped both the Billboard Hot 100 (US) and the UK Official Singles Chart Top 100 (UK).
Golden" won the "Best Original Song" category at the 83rd Golden Globe Awards; then was honored as "Best Song Written for Visual Media" at the 68th Grammy Awards - marking the first historical milestone of Kpop in this category.

Next, Luminate's statistics show that the fictional group Huntr/x ranked 2nd in the list of Kpop artists most streamed in the US in 2025 with 1.8 billion streams, only after EJAE.
The boy group Stray Kids of JYP Entertainment is in 3rd place with 1.2 billion streams.
The fictional male group in "Kpop Demon Hunters" - Saja Boys - ranked 5th with 921 million streams.
Luminate said that 8 of the 10 Kpop artists most streamed in 2025 in the US are artists or groups related to the original soundtrack of "Kpop Demon Hunters", which shows the global influence of the film.
The company also commented that the success of "Kpop Demon Hunters" shows the development of the Kpop industry in the past decade. Although the film was produced in the US, the soundtrack album is mostly produced by Korean and Kpop producers and musicians, achieving resounding achievements at award ceremonies.
Meanwhile, the famous group BTS of HYBE Group won 10th place with 892 million streams, although their group activities are temporarily suspended due to military service.
