Returning to the Vietnamese market with a reality TV show, Xuan Nghi considers "Sister Who Makes Wave" a fateful appearance right when she was struggling to return to her dream: "Right when I started to want to focus on finding a new path, there was an opportunity when "Sister Who Makes Wave" appeared".
The strength that helped Xuan Nghi confidently conquer the journey of "Sister Who Makes Wave" was her family. Both her parents and sister begged Xuan Nghi to return to Vietnam to participate in the program.
All of the singer's friends have been closely following every video and photo since she joined the show. Xuan Nghi is happy to have everyone's support and is always proud of herself.
"My parents were very happy when I joined the show. When "Sister Who Makes Wave" was first filmed, my mother immediately booked a ticket back to Vietnam. She went around the set to meet everyone and loved the atmosphere here," she said.
Xuan Nghi also shared that 5 years ago she returned to Vietnam and released music products, but at that time they were not suitable for the audience's taste.
The singer confessed that she became depressed when her products did not achieve the desired effect. Although she had to return to the US and work in marketing, Xuan Nghi still kept her artistic passion alive by becoming a music director for an entertainment company.
Recently, Xuan Nghi opened her own marketing company. She tried to do creative work but could not satisfy her artistic side and felt that everything was meaningless. This urged her to return to the music path.
The singer treasures "Sister Who Makes Wave" because it is a great opportunity that changes her life: "For sisters like Minh Hang or Toc Tien, it may be a project, but for me, it changes my life. For many years, I dreamed of being busy, giving interviews, meeting my brothers and sisters but couldn't, now suddenly I have the opportunity. I am very grateful for this opportunity."
Coming to "Sister Who Makes Wave", Xuan Nghi learned more than just her professional skills as a singer.
Being associated with the title "musical prodigy" since childhood, Xuan Nghi admitted to feeling pressured. She admitted that when she was 2 or 3 years old, she showed musical talent. The female singer prefers to be recognized for her efforts rather than her natural talent: "For the past 26 years, I have worked hard. Never stopped.
If I'm called a prodigy, I wouldn't dare accept it! But if I'm praised for my good music because I studied properly, I'd be happier because my efforts are rewarded."
Referring to the image of little Xuan Nghi that once made waves, Xuan Nghi feels happy and not pressured by this huge shadow: "I don't feel pressured by little Xuan Nghi's shadow by putting pressure on myself to be successful.
I really appreciate and cherish my childhood. There are moments when I realize that everything I have is thanks to my childhood and I am grateful for what my parents did for me since I was little."
Xuan Nghi revealed that even though she is 30 years old, she still likes to be called baby like before. For the female singer, "baby Xuan Nghi" is a brand that she is lucky to have.
