Mr. Dong Van Thanh is the Secretary of Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee

On the afternoon of December 12, the Standing Committee of Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee held a conference to implement the Politburo's decision on personnel work.

Attending the decision-making ceremony were Mr. Le Minh Hung - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Committee; Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee Do Trong Hung.

At the conference, Mr. Do Trong Hung - Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee - announced the Politburo's Decision dated December 4 on approving the position of Secretary of the Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

According to the decision, the Politburo approved Mr. Dong Van Thanh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hau Giang province - to hold the position of Secretary of the Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Mr. Le Minh Hung - Politburo member, Head of the Central Organization Committee - said that Mr. Dong Van Thanh is a well-trained cadre, matured from the grassroots, and has held many positions.

Mr. Dong Van Thanh is assessed by the Politburo as a capable, experienced, and close-knit cadre. In all his positions, he has always completed his tasks well and excellently, contributing to the overall achievements of his agencies, units, and localities. The Politburo believes that with his experience and commitment to Hau Giang province, Mr. Dong Van Thanh will excellently complete his assigned tasks.

Mr. Le Minh Hung suggested that the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, all levels and sectors of Hau Giang province continue to promote the spirit of solidarity and unity, together with Mr. Dong Van Thanh in his position as Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, focus on leading and directing the successful implementation of the Party Congress Resolution; strive to further develop Hau Giang in the coming time.

Speaking on accepting the assignment, Mr. Dong Van Thanh said that this is an honor as well as a very heavy task and responsibility assigned by the Party Committee, government and people of Hau Giang province.

Mr. Dong Van Thanh emphasized that, with the responsibility of being the head of the province, he will strive, continue to learn in an open-minded manner, try his best, be close to the grassroots, dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility in performing duties and powers.

Previously, on November 2, the Politburo allowed Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh to resign from the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and to cease holding the position of Secretary of the Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee. At the same time, Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh was transferred and appointed to join the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, and to hold the position of Secretary of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
