Appointing 1 Lieutenant General and 1 Colonel to new positions

    Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung was appointed by the Prime Minister to hold the position of Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army.

    On December 12, 2024, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed decisions to appoint personnel to the Ministry of National Defense.

    In Decision No. 1566/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister appointed Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung, Director of the Department of Personnel, General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, to hold the position of Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army.

    The General Political Department is responsible for Party and political work in the entire army, operating under the leadership of the Secretariat and directly and regularly under the Central Military Commission.

    The General Department of Politics has a Director, Deputy Directors and functional departments responsible for organization, personnel, propaganda, military security protection, policy, mass mobilization...

    In Decision No. 1555/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister appointed Colonel Do Quoc An, Chief of Technical Department of the Navy, Ministry of National Defense, to hold the position of Deputy Commander of the Navy, Ministry of National Defense.
