According to official statistics from Billboard for the week as of May 30, Drake's latest music trilogy including "Iceman", "Habibti" and "Maid of Honour" has created an unprecedentedly large-scale landing.
Released simultaneously on May 15, these 3 albums respectively shared the 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions in the chart. This is a unique milestone in the 70-year history of the Billboard 200, since it began weekly operations in March 1956.

The event of the "Iceman" project winning the crown also marked the 15th No. 1 album in the career of the Canadian superstar. With this achievement, Drake officially surpassed the Jay-Z icon to become a solo male singer, and also an R&B/Hip-Hop artist who owns many albums that reach the number 1 position of all time.
On a broader scale, the male rapper has equaled Taylor Swift's record in the group of solo artists with the most leading albums. Currently, the only name still ranked above Drake and Taylor Swift in global music history is the legendary band The Beatles, with a record of 19 times reaching the leading position.
Data from market surveillance unit Luminate as of May 21 shows that the album "Iceman" reached 463,000 album units equivalent in the US market in its first week of release. This sales volume makes "Iceman" the second highest weekly revenue product since the beginning of the year, and also the most explosive start of the year for the R&B/Hip-Hop genre.
Not at all inferior, two products released at the same time, "Habibti" and "Maid of Honour", also closely followed to win 2nd and 3rd positions with sales of 114,000 and 110,000 units respectively.
In the revenue structure of the leading album "Iceman", streaming equivalent albums (SEA index) are the deciding factor.
Meanwhile, net album sales (pure album sales index, calculated through digital downloads) reached 13,000 copies, ranking 5th on the Top Album Sales chart. The remaining small revenue comes from the TEA index (track equivalent albums - converted from retail sales of each song).

For the album "Maid of Honour" at number 3, out of a total of 110,000 album units converted for the first week, the streaming segment accounted for an almost absolute proportion with 104,000 units (equivalent to 105.48 million online listens for 14 songs, ranking 3rd on the Top Streaming Albums chart). Net album sales reached 6,000 copies (ranked 11th on the Top Album Sales chart), while the TEA index accounted for a negligible proportion.
Music industry analysts believe that Drake's strategy of releasing three albums simultaneously with different market orientations and musical colors is a risky but calculated step.
Subdividing projects instead of putting them together in a long album helps the male artist optimize algorithms and traffic on transnational digital platforms.
This record not only affirms Drake's monopoly position on the global digital music map but also sets a new commercial precedent, reshaping the way products are released and promoted for the international recording industry in the digital age.
