The Government issued Decree No. 43/2025/ND-CP dated February 28, 2025, stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
This Decree takes effect from March 1, 2025, replacing Decree No. 01/2023/ND-CP dated January 16, 2023 of the Government, stipulating the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is a Government agency, performing the function of state management of culture; family; physical education, sports; tourism; journalism; radio and television; news; publishing, printing, and distribution; electronic information; basic information and foreign information nationwide; state management of public services in sectors and fields under the state management of the Ministry.
From March 1, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism added a number of new functions, including press, radio and television management; news; publishing, printing, and distribution; electronic information; grassroots information and foreign information.
The organizational structure of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will also be supplemented with a number of departments. At the same time, the names of some departments and offices will be changed corresponding to the newly added functions.
The organizational structure of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism includes 25 units after being reorganized and streamlined:

3. Department of Legal Affairs;
4. Department of Science, Technology, Training and Environment;
5. Ministry Office;
6. Ministry Inspectorate;
7. Department of Cultural Heritage;
8. Department of Performing Arts;
9. Department of Cinema;

11. Department of Culture, Family and Library;
12. Department of International Cooperation;
13. Department of Fine Arts, photography and Exhibition;
14. Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports;
15. Vietnam National Administration of Tourism;
16. Department of Ethnic Culture of Vietnam;
17. Department of Journalism;
18. Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information;
19. Department of Publishing, Printing and Distribution;
20. Department of Information and Foreign Information;
