Hello Hanoi
“Anh trai say hi” is a reality music program that brings together famous stars such as Isaac, HIEUTHUHAI, Quan A.P, Duc Phuc... and potential young talents such as Quang Hung MasterD, Duong Domic, Hurrykng... From the TV show, the “brothers” have proven their strong appeal and ability to sell concert tickets that are no less than international stars in Vietnam. After two successful shows in Ho Chi Minh City, the program officially brought a new breeze to the audience in Hanoi.
As soon as the ticket sales opened early on November 7, the waiting list for tickets exceeded 100,000 people, prompting the organizers to open a fourth show to thank the audience. Notably, the audience is diverse in age, mainly from the 9X generation and Gen Z.
In the first concert in Hanoi on the evening of December 7, tens of thousands of people filled the My Dinh National Stadium, creating an unprecedentedly exciting atmosphere. The audience went through a fierce "ticket hunting war" to witness 30 artists shine on stage.
In the chilly weather of Hanoi at the end of the year, tens of thousands of bright lights lit up the stage, harmonizing with the vibrant summer melodies of Anh trai say hi. During the 3 hours, about 30 acts were performed with new arrangements. Songs such as Ngao ngo with English lyrics by Orange, Catch me if you can or Tinh dau qua tau with a creative opening. Many songs were live for the first time such as Lan tuu tien, Don't Care, You had me at hello, bringing surprises to the audience.
On the second night of December 9, despite being held on the first day of the week and close to the previous day, My Dinh National Stadium was still full. Many new performances were added, along with games and unique gifts prepared by the singers specifically for the audience in the capital. The festive atmosphere filled the air as the “older brothers” dressed up as Santa Claus, sending surprises and joy to fans on Christmas and New Year.
And the incomplete things
The Say Hi Brother Concert brought a classy stage with a carefully invested sound and lighting system. The performances used impressive props such as model cars, motorbikes, bicycles, and fire dances, combined with the effects of confetti, fireworks, and bright smoke, creating eye-catching moments. At the beginning and end of the program, the audience also got to admire the brilliant fireworks, ending the night in excitement. However, with an event of tens of thousands of people, some inevitable problems arose.
During the performance on the evening of December 7, the seating arrangement was not reasonable, causing many spectators to have difficulty finding their seats. When the fireworks were launched, some pieces of fireworks fell near the stage area, affecting the audience's experience. Fanzones A and B near the stage were under pressure from the crowd, causing some people to faint due to the cramped space, despite the organizers' repeated reminders to keep distance.
The figure of 50,000 spectators announced by MC Tran Thanh also caused controversy. Many opinions said that with the capacity of about 40,000 people at My Dinh National Stadium, this number would be difficult to achieve when part of the stage occupied a large area and the standing area below still had empty seats.
However, by the 9.12 show, many of the problems had been resolved. The organizers continuously distributed maps of the medical and emergency exit areas, and helped the audience find their seats quickly. The singers not only performed around the stage but also interacted with the audience throughout the stands, creating a more intimate and warm atmosphere.
Despite some imperfections, Anh Trai Say Hi still affirms its position as the leading music event in Vietnam, opening up expectations for the future development of the performance industry.
