Women make a splash at My Dinh
Currently, the identity of this guy is being "searched" as vigorously as his "brothers". The reason lies in... the appearance of the "audience guy" is too beautiful. Furthermore, the image of the man who is considered "beautiful as a flower" attracts even more attention when he stands among the forest of women in the audience.
Looking down at any side of the stage with a capacity of about 30,000 - 40,000 spectators at My Dinh Stadium on the two nights of December 7 and 9, you will see an overwhelming number of women.
Here and there, there were scattered figures of men standing among the forest of women. The “lost” men were bewildered and stammered to answer about the 30 artists of the show, the main reason that “pushed” them here was their wives, girlfriends or daughters.
A man standing in the GA2B area said: "In my opinion, 90%, no, maybe 95-96% of the audience at My Dinh watching Anh trai say hi are female."
Women gathered here from many provinces, they came from Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai to neighboring provinces of Hanoi such as Bac Ninh, Hung Yen, Vinh Phuc. Ngoc Thao shared: “I was born in 1993, flew from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi on the morning of December 6. I went to see 2 concerts of Anh trai say hi when they performed in Ho Chi Minh City, and also watched 2 concerts of Anh trai say hi in My Dinh, Hanoi. I am very happy to see the "brothers" perform and sing live on big stages like this”.
The girls who come here do not mind the cold. They are of many ages, from 16-30, students, office workers, and civil servants.
Nguyen Minh Hang, born in 1994, went with Tran Thi Minh Thu, born in 1997. Both of them had gone to work. They arrived at My Dinh Stadium at 3:00 p.m. to line up to enter the stadium.
This was the first time they went to see a music concert. Minh Hang said: “We watched Anh trai say hi since it aired, we liked “a lot of brothers” from HIEUTHUHAI, Anh Tu Atus, Duc Phuc, to Duong Domic, Quang Hung MasterD... We were willing to hunt for tickets at 2.2 - 2.5 million VND to buy tickets in the seating area. After watching the show on the evening of December 7, we decided to go see the concert on the evening of December 9. The feeling was so wonderful. The brothers performed enthusiastically, interacting closely with the audience. We thought the show was more wonderful than we had imagined. It was truly a memorable experience for our youth.”
The men in Anh trai say hi when stepping onto the stage expressed their amazement and emotion at the enthusiasm of the young audience. The My Dinh stadium echoed with screams and calls of the group of brothers.
Tens of thousands of female spectators cried, laughed, and sang in unison with the artists for 3-4 hours in the cold wind, creating a memorable scene for anyone present at My Dinh Stadium during the 2 concert nights.
Women are the heart and the heartbeat of the performing arts industry.
Allkpop once wrote that women are the heart and the heartbeat of the Kpop performance industry. Because female fans make up the overwhelming majority, they are the most loyal, enthusiastic, and most willing-to-spend audiences for Kpop groups.
According to Korea JoongAng Daily, female fans account for 70-90% of the Kpop audience. Female fans are enthusiastic, passionate, and absolutely support all activities of music groups, especially famous boy bands like BigBang, BTS... They do many things, carry out many campaigns, many projects to promote Kpop activities, not just stop at enjoying music.
Female fans are willing to spend money on concert tickets, buy clothes and souvenirs of artists and bands, and organize product promotions for their favorite artists.
Korean cultural experts analyze: “Women tend to express their emotions more strongly than men. For men, even if they love and are passionate about an artist or a band, they do not express their emotions as strongly and passionately as women. Men will rarely tend to scream, shout out their idols’ names, cry when they see their idols, or spend time and effort to do everything for their idols like women.”
A portrait of the average K-pop fan is sketched: Women in their 20s and 30s who are working, spending about 1-2 hours/day and 100,000 won/month ($75) on activities to support the group they admire.
There was a time when Vietnamese people were shocked when thousands of female fans gathered at Noi Bai airport and “fainted” when they saw Korean idols appear. The trend is becoming clearer and stronger as in Vietnam, a generation of male artists coming from reality shows has created attraction.
“Idol culture” is part of the ecosystem of the performance industry. “Idol culture” is showing signs of growing in Vietnam, and women showed their strength at My Dinh Stadium on the evenings of December 7 and 9.
