There, we can see the contrast and opposite in the way men and women express their emotions and love.
Men's love
Amidst the screams and passionate calls of the "brothers" from more than 30,000 spectators echoing from all four sides of the stands, there was the image of a man sitting quietly surfing his phone, "scanning" Facebook.
When the reporter asked him, “Do you watch the show Say Hi Brother? Which artist do you like the most?”, the man said, “I don’t watch it, I don’t know who is who, but... my wife made me go with her.”
Seeing the reporter's surprise, the man tried to explain further, "Oh, I know HIEUTHUHAi, because my wife keeps reminding me."
Nearby, a couple stood hugging each other in the cold wind. Compared to the Gen Z girls standing around, the couple looked older. The husband tried to cover up to keep his wife warm. When the reporter asked to take a photo, the wife waved her hand and said, "No, sister, don't take a photo, my husband and I are hiding from our children to go to this concert (laughs)".
The reporter asked both husband and wife, "Which male singer do you like the most in Anh trai say hi?", the husband was still thinking, then his wife answered in a flash, "Anh Tu Voi Ban Don".
Sitting next to his girlfriend was a young man named Minh Long (born in 1996). Partly because standing for a long time made his legs tired, partly because they couldn't squeeze through the crowd to get close to the fence separating the two ticket areas (from the fence they could see the stage more clearly), Minh Long and his girlfriend chose to sit on the floor in front of the big screen to watch the concert.
But during the concert, Minh Long looked at his girlfriend more than his "brothers".
The men in the standing area, which is colder and more windy than the seating area, have always paid attention to keeping their wives and girlfriends warm. They are very few in number compared to the overwhelming female audience. They may come because they love to watch the concert, but more importantly, they can join in their passion and interests while keeping their women warm.
And the love of women
One man told the reporter: “I think, 90%, maybe 95-96% of the audience at My Dinh tonight are women.”
Women - of many ages, from students to office ladies, civil servants, from many provinces and cities, from Ho Chi Minh City to Bac Ninh, Hung Yen, Hanoi... gathered together at My Dinh Stadium to sing together, cheering enthusiastically for 30 male artists from Anh trai say hi.
Many “Anh trai say hi” were moved to tears when they stepped onto the stage, overwhelmed by the audience. The enthusiasm of tens of thousands of female audiences - along with the screams and name calling throughout the 3-4 hours, moved the artists.
My Dinh Stadium has a capacity of over 40,000 spectators, of which, as expected, over 90% are female. They made a memorable night, singing together with their "brothers" almost all the hits performed in the program.
Dieu Thom - born in 1993, from Bac Ninh said: “My 2 girlfriends and I took a bus here at 6am, hoping to see the “brothers” in the rehearsal. We also stood under the hotel where they were staying for a long time hoping to see them. I like all 30 “brothers”, but I like HIEUTHUHAI and Anh Tu Atus the most. Seeing the “brothers” perform “in the flesh” like this, all the effort is worth it”.
Dieu Thom and her two girlfriends also planned that after the show ended at around 11pm, they would continue to wait outside the gate of My Dinh Stadium, hoping to see the "older brothers" move from the stage back to the nearby hotel.
My Hanh (born in 1999) in Hanoi also shared that she was so happy to attend the concert, delighted to see her "brothers" perform with her own eyes. My Hanh affirmed, "today's concert will forever be a beautiful memory of my youth. They are my youth, and this is the memory of a beautiful youth".
