BIGBANG has just launched a new world tour called "XX: COSMOS" at Goyang Stadium, taking place from August 21st to 23rd. The event attracted a large number of fans as well as many fellow artists.
However, besides the exciting atmosphere of the performances, the issue of seating has become the focus of debate after some viewers said they did not receive an experience commensurate with the money they spent.
Information released said that the F1 and F2 zones belong to the seated ticket group on the floor, priced at 253,000 won (about 183 USD), only lower than the 275,000 won (about 199 USD) of the VIP standing ticket.
According to the diagram announced by YG Entertainment before the concert, F1 and F2 are arranged right in front of the main stage, making many viewers expect these to be positions with favorable visibility.
However, the reality at the stadium disappointed a part of ticket buyers. An expanded stage, also known as catwalk, is said to be blocking the view of the audience at some F1 and F2 positions.
Some people even reflected that they had difficulty observing BIGBANG members on stage. Notably, this situation was not clearly announced at the time tickets were opened for sale.
South Korean media reported that the complaint requested the FTC to verify whether the ticket sales process, information provision to customers as well as site inspection complied with relevant regulations, including contents under the Korean E-commerce Act.
Functional agencies will consider the issue of refunding money to audiences who have bought affected positions.
However, on Korean online forums, many viewers believe that just refunding is not enough and request stricter handling measures if the above accusations are confirmed.
Some comments expressed disappointment with the organization, and recalled similar controversies that had occurred in concerts managed by YG Entertainment.
Notably, this is not the first time YG Entertainment has faced a reaction related to the obscured vision at concerts at Goyang Stadium.
In 2025, the company refunded all audiences who bought tickets at obscured locations beyond expectations during BLACKPINK's "DEADLINE" concert.
For BIGBANG, "XX: COSMOS" is expected to be an important milestone in their journey back to the big stage.
However, the controversy about seating is causing attention to the tour to be drawn by another story: the audience's experience and the responsibility of the organizing unit when selling high-value positions.
