On February 7, at the Da Nang Museum, the opening ceremony of the "Tet Market" program in 2026 with the theme "Picking up Spring Horses" took place. The market takes place on February 7 and 8, with many activities lasting from morning to night.

The program recreates the traditional Tet market space through stalls of folk cuisine, handicrafts, Tet gifts, ao dai, ornamental plants and many familiar street foods. Notably, the "Little Market" is organized to create conditions for children to experience communication skills, buying and selling and get acquainted with the old Tet market life.
In parallel with shopping activities, the "Spring Sounds" stage brings performing arts and acoustic performances to welcome the new year, creating a joyful and warm atmosphere. The check-in space "Spring Path Sends Wishes" is also arranged, evoking the custom of writing wishes and sending New Year wishes of Vietnamese people.

In addition, the public can also participate in many cultural experience activities such as wrapping banh chung, banh tet, making pottery, printing woodblocks, painting spring flowers, folk games and bamboo dance exchanges of the Co Tu people. In particular, the photo exhibition "The Spice of Life - Flavor of Life" introduces 80 works by 44 photographers, vividly reflecting Da Nang's life and culture, taking place until February 25, 2026.
In addition to the Tet Market, from February 10 to 12, 2026, the Da Nang Museum continues to organize the program "Happy Spring Welcoming Binh Ngo Tet 2026" at facility 2 (No. 281 Phan Boi Chau) with activities such as Bai Choi night, calligraphy writing, Tet cake wrapping and children's painting exhibition, contributing to spreading traditional cultural values in the community.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Huynh Dinh Quoc Thien, Director of the Da Nang Museum, said that the Tet Market at the Da Nang Museum is organized not only for sightseeing or shopping, but more importantly for experiencing, interacting and creating a Tet atmosphere together. This is also the direction that the Da Nang Museum is persistently pursuing: building an open museum, close to the public, where cultural heritage is not only displayed, but also lived with the community, present in contemporary life.
The theme "Rước Mã khai xuân" this year is associated with the image of the Horse - the mascot of the year Binh Ngo 2026, symbolizing dynamism, perseverance, spirit of advancing and aspiration to reach further. Through a series of cultural and artistic community experiences, folk games and creative spaces, the program hopes to spread the message of a new year with many positive movements, many beliefs and a strong connection between people, between heritage and today's life," Mr. Thien said.
