On February 6th, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City said that on the occasion of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, Da Nang will organize a series of large-scale cultural and festival activities, imbued with the traditional Tet identity, with the highlight being the New Year's Eve fireworks display program at 6 locations throughout the city.

This year, Da Nang is imbued with a bustling spring atmosphere with a series of unique cultural and festival activities such as: Spring Fair 2026, An Hai Folk Tet Festival, Traditional Tet Space, Tet Market - Welcoming Spring Horses, Vietnamese Tet 2026...
Along with that are activities of wrapping banh chung, asking for calligraphy from Ong Do, folk games, Tuong performances, Bai Choi, folk chanting and street music organized in many locations, creating conditions for people and tourists to easily immerse themselves in the Vietnamese Tet atmosphere.
One of the highlights of the Binh Ngo Spring 2026 is the New Year's Eve fireworks display program, taking place simultaneously at 6 locations including: area in front of Hoa Khanh Ward People's Committee; Bach Dang street (intersection with Binh Minh 6 street); Western Ring Road resettlement area (Duong Lam 1 village, Hoa Vang commune); Con Bap tourist area (Xuyen Trung village); 24-3 Square (Hung Vuong street) and Nui Thanh Commune Square.
According to the plan, from 0:00 on February 17, 2026 (New Year's Eve), 6 fireworks locations will simultaneously light up the city sky for 15 minutes, contributing to creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere to welcome the new year, while ensuring safety, efficiency and promoting Da Nang's image to people and tourists.
Not only bustling in the first days of the year, the festival season in Da Nang also lasts throughout February and early March 2026 with many events such as: Light and Heritage Festival at Hoi An Memory Island, Tulip Festival at Sun World Ba Na Hills, God of Wealth Festival at God of Wealth Mountain, Nguyen Tieu Tet and craft village festivals, traditional folk festivals such as Tra Que Cotton Bridge, Tuy Loan village communal house, New Year's boat race, Sticky corn festival...
During Tet, many tourist areas, sites, museums and cultural relics in the city are open throughout to serve the needs of sightseeing and experiencing. Major destinations such as Sun World Ba Na Hills organize many spring opening activities, long flower festivals; the museum system welcomes visitors right from the 1st day of Tet; traditional craft villages, ecotourism models, and community tourism are also ready to serve tourists.
According to the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center, during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026 (from February 14 to 22, 2026), it is expected that there will be more than 1,500 flights to Da Nang, an average of about 175 flights/day, a sharp increase compared to the same period last year. Room occupancy rate at many 4-5 star hotels reaches 80-90%, showing that the demand for spring travel increases during long holidays.
