On July 22, at the Da Nang Museum, the Vietnam Association for Victims of Agent Orange (NNCDC)/dioxin jointly organized the opening of the Exhibition "Oranje - Conscience and Justice" - Da Nang 2026. The exhibition is one of a series of activities to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the Agent Orange disaster in Vietnam, the Day for NCDC and the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day.
The exhibition introduces more than 400 images, documents and artifacts with many themes, recreating the Agent Orange disaster, and Vietnam's efforts to overcome the consequences of chemical toxins after the war. The journey of fighting for justice for Agent Orange victims along with examples of overcoming difficulties and typical individuals and organizations accompanying and supporting victims.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Vice Chairwoman of Da Nang City People's Committee, said that in Da Nang city, the care for the lives of Agent Orange victims is always concerned and directed by the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city.
Along with fully implementing the policies of the Party and the State, the city has mobilized many social resources to support health care, improve life, create livelihoods and help Agent Orange victims integrate into the community. These actions are not only a tradition of kindness and affection of the nation but also demonstrate the responsibility of the government towards those who have suffered many disadvantages caused by war.
In the current context, we need to promote propaganda, raise understanding and awareness of all classes of people and international friends about the Agent Orange disaster in Vietnam, to join hands to soothe the pain of Agent Orange and support the struggle for justice of Vietnamese Agent Orange victims," Ms. Thi emphasized.
Also at the opening ceremony, Lieutenant General Nguyen Huu Chinh, Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Agent Orange/dioxin Victims, expressed that the Organizing Committee of the Exhibition hopes that the exhibition will create a good impression and positive spread, bringing many useful things to delegates and visitors. At the same time, there will be practical activities "Gratitude", caring for and helping people with meritorious services to the revolution and Agent Orange Victims.
On this occasion, many agencies, units, businesses and organizations have supported the construction of gratitude houses, presented gifts, and supported livelihoods for victims and families of Agent Orange victims in Da Nang City with a total value of more than 1.42 billion VND.
The exhibition takes place from July 22 to August 21 at the Da Nang Museum, and is also organized online on the platforms of the Organizing Committee.
According to the Organizing Committee, the exhibition aims to help people, especially the younger generation, better understand the serious consequences that chemical toxins leave for Vietnamese people and the environment, and at the same time recognize the efforts of the Party, State, Army, organizations and international friends in overcoming the consequences of war and caring for Agent Orange victims.
Through this, continue to call on the community to join hands to soothe the pain of Agent Orange and support the struggle for justice for Vietnamese victims.
