After two films "Tieu Dao" and "Thuc Cam Nhan Gian" continuously received negative feedback, Dam Tung Van's name is said to be stagnating. Even when "TV goddess" Trieu Le Dinh participated in supporting in "Tieu Dao", the film still could not turn the situation around.
At a time when a new impetus is needed, the actress is expected to regain her form with the new era female lead project "My Mountains and Sea" (old name "I and My Life"), scheduled to air on CCTV in March.

The film is adapted from the novel "Me and My Life" by author Luong Hieu Thanh, revolving around the character Phuong Uyen Chi, a girl born in the 1970s, growing up in the mountains of Guizhou played by Dam Tung Van. After family upheavals and emotional breakdowns, she decides to drop out of university and go to Shenzhen alone to make a living.
From a worker position, she always persistently strived, took evening supplementary classes, learned English to improve herself, strived to learn about the field of foreign trade and gradually started a business. After experiencing many storms, she finally stood firm in Shenzhen and became a famous businesswoman, and at the same time found a happy harbor in love.
When she entered middle age, her company was successfully listed. She handed over the business to a professional management team, then returned to her hometown with her adopted son and soulmate Cao Tuong (played by Cao Chi Dinh), contributing to building her homeland.

Despite having a male character line accompanying her, the story mainly focuses on depicting the journey of adulthood and career of the female lead. This is considered an opportunity for Dam Tung Van to show off her acting depth when taking on a role spanning from adolescence to middle age.
Previously, she had made her mark through films such as "In the Name of a Family" or "Com Tam Tua Ngoc". However, in the past 2 years, the projects she participated in have been commented on as having simple scripts, character images leaning towards sweet, innocent styles, not fully exploiting the actress's inner strength. Therefore, the "makeover" in "My Mountains and Sea" is highly anticipated by audiences.
Besides the inspiring content, Dam Tung Van's styling in the film also received praise. The behind-the-scenes photos show that the costumes are meticulously invested, recreating the styles of different periods without creating a feeling of outdatedness.
A prominent design is the combination of a white shirt and a black and white plaid skirt that flatters the figure, accompanied by a thin bangs and straight long hair, bringing a sweet but still elegant look. The black bow accent at the collar makes the overall look more classic, creating an impression like a miniature retro fashion catwalk on the screen.
