Thu Trang's film reaches 200 billion VND
According to Box Office Vietnam, after about 20 days of showing, the total revenue of the movie Nu Cuoi Billion reached 197 billion VND, entering the top 10 most popular Vietnamese movies ever. The project helped Thu Trang become the first Vietnamese female director to have a work surpassing the hundred billion mark.
As of noon on February 18, the billion-dollar kiss is still leading the Vietnamese cinema revenue with more than 750 million VND and more than 2,100 screenings.
The film belongs to the family genre that combines humorous elements, revolving around Van (Thien An) - a girl inheriting a banh mi shop left by her mother. Van's life changed after Thuy Kieu (Thu Trang) - her sister - mortgaged the house and gave money to her boyfriend (played by Huy Khanh) to do business. Hoping to get their assets back and go to school to make cakes in France, the two sisters planned to conquer the young master, encountering many unfortunate and unfortunate situations.
Although rich in entertainment and comedy, the work is limited in terms of script and lacks surprises.
In the next few days, this project may reach the 200 billion VND mark.
Another notable point is that the movie Lam Tu Song reached the 100 billion VND mark on February 18. This is the 4th Vietnamese film project in 2025 to reach 100 billion VND after the Four Guardians, Chi Dau, Nu hon bi.
The four Guardians cool down, ranking fifth in Vietnamese theaters. The film earned 327 billion VND - the highest of the Tet holiday (as of noon on February 18.
Foreign films still have good revenue in theaters
Captain America: Brave New World reached 29 billion VND, ranked 3rd in Vietnamese theaters. On Rotten Tomatoes, the film was not popular with experts but impressed the audience when it achieved 80% fresh scores. This is a major investment blockbuster of the Marvel film brand.
In this film, Sam Wilson will have to take on the role of leader, leading his teammates to face powerful enemy. Captain America: Brave New World is reminiscent of the best film of the Captain America series, Civil War. There, the villain Helmut Zemo ( Daniel Brühl) is a terrorist obsessed with defeating the Avengers.
In addition to Vietnamese theaters, there is another notable foreign film project, "Rider: delivery to ghosts". The film has currently earned more than 17 billion VND, ranking 2nd in Vietnamese box office revenue.
