On July 20, 1946, the Radio's first broadcast was held here, starting with a historical statement: "This is the voice of the South, the voice of pain, the voice of hatred...", becoming a sharp spiritual weapon connecting compatriots and soldiers of the South with the Central Party Committee.

However, after nearly 80 years, many items of the relic have deteriorated. The ground floor is damaged, the fence is covered with moss. Especially, on the morning of December 25, 2025, after many days of prolonged heavy rain, the gate of Tho Loc communal house - the remaining original item of the relic collapsed in the front.
The reason is that the ancient architectural structure made of laterite plaster has passed its age and is rotten over time. The remaining condition of the communal house gate is very weak, with the risk of continuing to collapse in the upcoming rainy and storm season.
Mr. Pham Xuan Lai, a resident of Tho Loc Tay village, Son Tinh commune, said that the degradation of the relic makes local people worried. He hopes that functional agencies will soon have a plan to repair and restore it because this is a relic of great historical significance for generations.
Mr. Dang Xuan Trung, Chairman of Son Tinh Commune People's Committee, said that the collapse of a part of the relic shows that the project is seriously degraded. If not repaired soon, the possibility of the relic continuing to completely collapse is very high. The restoration of the relic's current state exceeds the commune's capacity, requiring urgent joint efforts and support from specialized agencies and higher levels.
The locality has reported the current situation to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. While waiting for capital allocation, the dangerous area has been fenced off and warning signs have been placed to limit people's access.
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ngai province, the whole province currently has 187 degraded relics, including 2 special national relics, 13 national relics, and 172 provincial-level relics. Besides the relics that have been invested in preservation, the system of relics in the area is under great pressure from time and the harsh weather of the Central region with hot sun and frequent storms and floods.
One of the biggest obstacles currently in the work of restoring, embellishing and promoting the value of relics is the financial problem. The budget allocated annually for anti-degradation of relics is still quite modest compared to actual needs.
In the long term, Quang Ngai province needs to soon develop a master plan on protecting and promoting the value of the historical and cultural relic system in the period 2026 - 2031. In which, priority is given to allocating capital to urgent and heavily degraded relics; and at the same time promote socialization, attracting legitimate resources for systematic and scientific restoration and embellishment.
