Taxi Driver (Vietnamese title: Taxi Driver/famous) is about a mysterious taxi company called Rainbow Taxi with 5 members: Kim Do Gi (Lee Je Hoon), Jang Sung Cheol (Kim Eui Sung), Ahn Go Eun (Pyo Ye Jin), Choi Kyung Goo (Jang Hyuk Jin), Park Jin Uhn (Bae Yoo Ram). They operate as a revenge organization, representing victims who cannot seek justice through the law.
Sharing about the upcoming release of the film with season 3, director Kang Bo Seung - who started his career as an assistant director for season 1 of Taxi Driver, said: I didnt expect to make season 3 again. Although the film was a great success, as a companion of Taxi Driver from the beginning, I always remember the modest goals and sincerity we have.
Regarding the difference between season 3 and the previous 2 seasons, the director said: "The best thing about the series "Taxi Driver" is that the Red Bridge Taxi group is still in the same place, unchanged. Their personality and relationships or Do Gi's fighting skills remain the same. To maximize the results while still maintaining these numbers, we decided to amplify the vertical. What has changed compared to previous seasons is that the villains, the evils of society, are different.
According to the director, one of the highlights of the film series is how Do Gi transforms into many different characters and changes his action style depending on the villain character. Therefore, the crew has devoted a lot of effort to developing the villain characters for each case. During that process, the film crew also devoted much effort to the art direction of the world of each villain character - which became the setting of the case.
Taking on the role of director for season 3, Kang Bo Seung tried to lead the story of each case by choosing the "main color" to represent the core of the story. In addition, what he paid the most attention to was the motivation of the characters.
I spent a lot of time reflecting on the question: They are not police, their job is to catch criminals, but are taxi company employees. What is their motivation when chasing and punishing the unjust?" Finally, I come to the conclusion that the motivation of a hero is emotions.
So, although we have used the term victim in previous cases, this time, I have tried to use the term survivor as much as possible and tell their stories in depth. I think we need to portray and build those emotions appropriately to justify the actions of the Cau Vong Taxi group and also to increase the audience's satisfaction".
The movie Taxi Driver 3 is scheduled to premiere on November 21.
