On the afternoon of September 15, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the Department of Education and Training of Dien Bien province to organize the summary and award ceremony of the 2026 Reading Culture Ambassador Contest.
Attending the program were Mr. Nguyen Minh Phu - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with leaders of departments, branches, teachers and students.
The contest is implemented from April 17 to July 10 at schools throughout the province, with 3 themes: "Books and Long-term Dreams"; "Reading Culture in the Digital Age and Artificial Intelligence"; "Preserving National Cultural Identity".
According to the Organizing Committee, 1,906 written entries and 14 video clips of primary, secondary, and high school students from 38 schools have been sent back.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Tran Hai Ha - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - said that although technology helps to access information faster and faster, books still have their own value when helping readers delve deeper into knowledge, train their thinking ability and systematically recognize problems.
At the award ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded 68 prizes. The three first prizes belonged to Vu Hoang Tuong Vy - Thanh Hung Primary School; Truong Dang Khoa - Luong The Vinh Secondary and High School; Ta Hai Lam - Phan Dinh Giot High School.
The Organizing Committee awarded 6 second prizes, 12 third prizes, 30 consolation prizes and 15 thematic prizes. Phan Dinh Giot High School was awarded the prize for the school with the most participating students.
