The family of the late actor Itagaki Mizuki today (May 17) announced the sad news through his Instagram story.
The family said he unfortunately passed away due to an accident. The family also shared that he had struggled with mental illness since last year and suddenly passed away at the end of January this year.
The family coordinated with police and friends to search, and recently, the authorities announced that his body had been found in Tokyo.
Itagaki Mizuki is known to have struggled with mental health problems while alive. Last year, while part 2 of the drama "Shojiki Fudosan" was still airing, his management company - Stardust Promotion - suddenly announced the termination of his fan club without giving a reason, according to Asia One.
In June of that year, Itagaki updated Instagram, switching to becoming a game streamer on the Twitch platform. In November, he wrote a long article expressing that since January of that year, due to heavy pressure, his spirit became extremely unstable, he suffered from insomnia, loss of appetite, and his condition became increasingly serious.
He informed the management company about his intention to retire, even arbitrarily shaving his head without permission. After that, he was hospitalized for treatment for a month and his health gradually stabilized.
Itagaki's family said that while he was trying to return to work, bad news came. The family believes that Itagaki himself will definitely feel heartbroken, so they decided to send a farewell on his behalf and thank everyone who has always loved and supported the actor while he is alive.
Itagaki Mizuki was born on October 25, 2000. He is a member of the idol group M!LK but is famous for his role as an actor in TV series and movies. Some of his famous projects include Solomon's Perjury (Lay la cua Solomon, 2015), Hana Moyu (Hoa Chay, 2015) and In-house Marriage Honey (Voi Chong Trong Nha, 2020); The Promised neverland (Voi Dat Hoa, live- action) - a movie adapted from the famous manga.
Mizuki is well known to Vietnamese audiences for playing the male lead during his childhood in the movie Ao Haru Ride (Con Duong Muoi Xuan, live action version).
Itagaki Mizuki is loved for his bright face and sophisticated acting. Fans have expected him to become one of the big stars of the new generation in the Japanese entertainment industry.
