On July 16, within the framework of sideline activities of the 3rd APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC 3), the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism chaired and coordinated with the Department of Foreign Affairs, City Police, Department of Health, People's Committee of Thai Tan Commune and Cat Hai Special Zone to organize a tour program for the delegation of women, soldiers and companions of APEC members at Chu Dau pottery village, Thai Tan commune, Hai Phong city.
Chu Dau pottery village, the first destination in the program, is a place to preserve high-class ancient pottery in Vietnam, with a history from the 12th - 13th centuries, and developed brilliantly during the Ly - Tran - Le - Mac Dynasty.
Chu Dau is not only the cradle of traditional pottery but also a symbol of the hands of Vietnamese talents, gradually making its mark on the world pottery map through sophisticated export products.

Here, the delegation listened to an introduction to the history of formation, the process of restoration and development of Chu Dau pottery line, visit the production workshop, learn about the manufacturing process and directly experience ceramic painting.
The women and soldiers expressed their admiration for the sophisticated and harmonious beauty of each product; at the same time, highly appreciated the efforts to preserve and promote the traditional cultural values of Vietnamese enterprises in the context of integration.
The tour not only contributes to promoting Vietnamese cultural values to international friends but also spreads the message about a country rich in tradition, deeply integrated but still preserving national identity.
