On the morning of February 15, Dong Trieu city organized the Tran Dynasty Temple Thai Mieu Festival in 2025. This is an important cultural event to honor the heritage values and historical traditions of the Tran Dynasty.
Thai Mieu is one of the most important relics in the Tran Dynasty Cultural and Historical Relics Complex in Dong Trieu.
Based on the results of archaeological excavations and historical documents, Thai Mieu was built by An Sinh Vuong Tran Lieu in the first half of the 13th century on a large scale and was a place of worship for the Tran Dynasty's ancestors. Over time, Thai Mieu is still a ruined area, but it still preserves many architectural traces and relics bearing the strong architectural and artistic imprint of the Tran Dynasty.
Built in the first half of the 13th century under the reign of King Tran Lieu, Thai Mieu is the place of worship for the Tran Dynasty's ancestors.
Thanks to the attention of authorities at all levels and the contribution of the people, Thai Mieu has been restored and embellished, becoming an important destination in the religious life of the people.

The Thai Mieu Festival recreates many important rituals such as: King's Invitation Ceremony, Lan Tuyet Ceremony, An Prayer Ceremony, Water Riding Ceremony, The death anniversary of Duc Thai, father of Tran Thua, Incense Offering Ceremony, Weight Ceremony...
In particular, the Water Ride Ceremony is a special ritual to express gratitude to the ancestors of the Tran Dynasty, associated with the origin of the dynasty of fishing.
Dr. Nguyen Van Anh (Faculty of History, University of Social Sciences & Humanities) said: "Waterwalk is a popular ceremony in the villages of the Northern Delta, especially in Thai Binh and Nam Dinh - the homeland of the Tran Dynasty. This ceremony not only has spiritual significance but also reminds posterity about the past of our ancestors before the throne flourished".
The Tran Dynasty Thai Temple Festival is held annually from January 18 to 20, attracting a large number of people and tourists from all over the world.
The event is not only an opportunity to express respect for ancestors but also contributes to promoting spiritual and cultural tourism, making Dong Trieu an important destination on the Vietnam heritage map.
