The CVB rating summary table (TV viewership rating system) of Chinese TV series in 2025 shows that the dominance continues to belong to the central CCTV system, with many works featuring big names such as Duong Mich, Ton Le, Bach Loc. Meanwhile, local satellite stations maintain modest ratings, clearly reflecting the stratification of the television market.
According to statistics based on the "Top 5 – Guardian 3" criteria (Top 5 movies with the highest ratings on CCTV and Top 3 of each satellite station), CCTV1 continues to be the channel with a superior advantage in viewership. Leading the ranking is the movie "Six Sisters", reaching an rating of 4.349%, becoming the TV series with the highest viewership rating in 2025 according to CVB data.
Ranked after them are "The Secret Confrontation" with 3.743% and "North" reaching 3.615%. The remaining two positions in the Top 5 belong to "Entertainment" and "Blue Mountain is Homeland", both maintaining ratings above 3%. The common point of these works is the drama content, closely following social reality, a cast of talented actors and suitable for the middle-aged audience - the main audience of CCTV1.
At CCTV8, the competition is closer as the rating gap between films is not large. "The Tale of the Flower" tops with 2.610%, only slightly higher than "Silent Glory" by 0.003%. The next positions respectively belong to "The Story of Everything" - a work starring Duong Mich, "Four Joys" and "Beautiful Life" starring Sun Li. CCTV8's rating level is generally lower than CCTV1, but still shows the stability of the dark film time slot.
In contrast to the central radio system, local satellite stations recorded quite modest ratings, mostly fluctuating below the 0.6% threshold. Hunan Radio leads this group with the movie "Hiding in the Abyss" reaching 0.491%. Dongfang and Beijing Radio attracted attention when re-broadcasting films such as "Six Sisters" or "Silk Glory" still achieved relatively good results, showing the endurance of works that once made a splash on CCTV channels.
Meanwhile, Zhejiang and Jiangsu continue to pursue a diverse genre strategy, from modern romance to fantasy, but no works have created a clear breakthrough in terms of ratings.
