In the early days of the new year 2026, a large number of people and tourists from all over the country came to Vung Chua - Yen Island (Phu Trach commune, Quang Tri province) to offer incense and visit the graves of General Vo Nguyen Giap and his wife Dang Bich Ha.

Recorded during the 2026 New Year holiday, the General's tomb area in Vung Chua - Yen Island welcomed a large number of people and tourists to visit. From early morning on January 1st, the line of people lined up in order, quietly entering the tomb area, maintaining the solemnity of the spiritual space.

The visitors are not only local people but also many delegations from provinces and cities such as Bac Ninh, Ho Chi Minh City... Many families choose Vung Chua - Yen Island as a destination at the beginning of the year, sending their wishes for a peaceful and harmonious new year.

Besides the General's tomb, the tomb of Lady Dang Bich Ha also attracted a large number of people to stop and offer incense. 2 tombs are located next to each other, leaning against the mountains, facing the East Sea, creating a sacred and touching space for each visitor.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City, said that after more than 10 years, his emotions are still intact. Standing in front of the General's grave, he only hopes that the country will always be peaceful and that future generations will live in peace and stability.

According to a representative of the Management Board of General Vo Nguyen Giap's tomb area, during this year's New Year, the number of visitors increased sharply, especially on January 1st.
