Overseas gifts
In the days leading up to Tet, when the mainland is bustling with the spring atmosphere, the Naval Region 5 Command has organized a working delegation to visit, encourage, and wish Tet to officers, soldiers, people and forces in the Southwest sea area of the Fatherland. Officers and soldiers are all busy preparing for a special journey, the journey to bring spring from the mainland to the Southwest frontline islands of the Fatherland from January 9, 2026 to January 14, 2026.
On each ship trip to the frontline islands, there are not only goods, food, and necessities, but also contains the feelings, beliefs, and dedication of compatriots across the country to those who are day and night guarding the sacred sea and sky.

Amidst the sea waves, each box of Tet gifts, each peach branch, kumquat pot is carefully cherished and preserved by officers and soldiers so that when arriving on the island, those gifts are still intact, carrying the spring flavor from the mainland. The soldiers could not hide their emotions, because it is not only material but also great concern, sharing and spiritual encouragement, adding strength for the sea soldiers to stand firm at the forefront of waves and winds, and successfully complete the task of protecting the sea and island sovereignty of the Fatherland.

Captain QNCN Nguyen Van Duy - reporting officer of Ship 529, Naval Flotilla 512, Brigade 127, Naval Region 5 emotionally shared: "We are very proud to welcome working groups from the Central Government and the city to visit the unit. Life on remote islands is still difficult, so every time we receive spiritual gifts, brothers in the unit are very touched, clearly feeling the concern and sharing of compatriots across the country for those who are on duty far from the Fatherland.
In the process of performing tasks, especially when the weather is bad and stormy, Senior Lieutenant QNCN Nguyen Van Duy said that transporting Tet gifts to the island faces many difficulties. However, officers and soldiers still strive to overcome all obstacles so that meaningful gifts reach the people and comrades on remote islands, contributing to spreading military-civilian affection and bringing spring to the front lines of the Fatherland.

As soldiers working on the Southwest front of the Fatherland, we are always ready to perform all tasks assigned by superiors, maintain vigilance, be ready to fight in all situations, and firmly protect sea and island sovereignty" - Senior Lieutenant QNCN Nguyen Van Duy affirmed.
Combat readiness is the top priority.
