We are all trying here" (other name: Everyone is fighting their own worthlessness) is a new project of JTBC station.
The film tells the story of Hwang Dong Man (Koo Kyo Hwan) - an ambitious director, the only member in "The Eight" - a famous group in the film industry that has not yet launched a project, and Byun Eun Ah (Go Yoon Jung) - a producer at Choi Film, who is known as "The Ax" because of her sharp script comments. Despite many differences in personality, they gradually heal their wounds through the other person.
As a new work by screenwriter Park Hae Young after the success of the movies "Ohae Young Again", "My Uncle", "My Freedom Diary", "We are all trying here" attracted attention right at the time of its announcement when the female lead was making a splash with the movie "Can I Translate This Love Sound?", while the male lead was also noticed when the Korean version of the movie "We Are Later" starring him surpassed the 2 million ticket mark.
Sharing about her projects with Korean media, Go Yoon Jung said she noticed a clear contrast between the works.
During the filming process, I felt emotional about the script at every moment. If "Can you translate this love song?" is like a colorful fairy tale, then the new project is like a dark comedy film set in a gloomy reality with people still shining. That contrast has made the process of receiving each new script and acting almost like a piece of music. That's really very interesting" - she said.
Regarding being continuously chosen to play main roles in famous projects, the young star admitted that she herself is also curious about that. "When working, I often put all my heart into a project instead of calculating each step. That may be both a strength and a weakness, but I think I really get into work without thinking too much. Perhaps that is also what people appreciate about me.
Regarding opinions that she has the advantage of "having beauty, so she is chosen for the role" in the new movie, Go Yoon Jung frankly said: "I don't think appearance is the main factor that made screenwriter Park choose me. But if appearance helps the actress get into the role more deeply, it could be a strength and a valuable compliment.
