During the 5-day Lunar New Year holiday of Binh Ngo 2026 (from February 14-18, 2026, i.e. December 27 of the year At Ty to January 2 of the year Binh Ngo), Hanoi Capital tourism is estimated to welcome about 594,000 visitors, an increase of 11.7% compared to the same period in 2025.
According to the Hanoi Department of Tourism, international visitors to Hanoi during this period are estimated at 111,000, an increase of 51.4%; domestic visitors are about 482,000, an increase of 5.4% compared to the same period. Total revenue from tourists is estimated at 2,231 billion VND, an increase of 19.8%, showing the increasing attraction of Hanoi tourism during the early spring holiday.
Tourism activities recorded many positive signs when cultural and tourism events took place vibrantly, accommodation and sightseeing services were organized thoughtfully and ensured safety. Accommodation establishments proactively prepared facilities, human resources, and decorated spaces imbued with traditional spring colors with peach branches, red couplets, recreating rural markets, folk games and check-in areas with the theme of Vietnamese Tet.
Many hotels are implementing preferential packages and cultural experience programs such as long-term resorts with service incentives, free room upgrades; traditional banh chung wrapping, Tet cuisine; folk art performances, calligraphy, cultural exhibitions. Typical programs include "Metropole Tet Space" at Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi; "Tet Market 2026" at Novotel Suites Hanoi; Tet culinary chain at Pan Pacific Hanoi. The average room occupancy rate of hotels and tourist apartments reached about 65.3%, an increase of 0.8 percentage points; especially the 4-5-star segment reached over 70%.

Tourist destinations also promote experiential activities, improve service quality, organize festivals and launch new products to serve the sightseeing and spring celebration needs of people and tourists. Some destinations recorded a significant number of visitors such as Hoa Lo Prison welcoming 7.034 visitors, Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam about 55,000 visitors, Thang Long Imperial Citadel more than 18,000 visitors.
