Highlights on National Day 2.9
According to a survey by Lao Dong, hotels and homestays along streets such as Nguyen Thai Hoc, Kim Ma, Trang Thi, Trang Tien... were fully booked on the days of preliminary approval, rehearsal and officially held a commemorative program, parade, and parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.
A representative of a homestay on Nguyen Thai Hoc street said that guests booked rooms for the holiday a few months in advance. Most tourists from the southern provinces and cities chose to stay in Hanoi from the General Congress Day of the parade, the parade on August 30 - the first day of the holiday, staying until September 2.
Mr. Richard Yit - General Director of Hanoi Tourism - shared: "This year's September 2 holiday is expected to attract a large number of domestic and international tourists to Hanoi to directly watch the parade and parade. Given the high demand for accommodation at this time, we have prepared comprehensive service plans. At the same time, improve the quality of service with many special gifts such as the polo "Fatherland in the heart" shirt and culinary vouchers for resort guests to bring unforgettable moments during the big holiday".
In addition, many travel companies in Ho Chi Minh City have recorded a sharp increase in the number of customers booking trips for the September 2 holiday, especially for Hanoi tourism.
Welcoming the wave of A80 grand tourism
The great attraction comes from the large-scale parade and parade event on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day. This is a different highlight that makes Hanoi and the northern provinces "hotter" than ever. Guests tend to combine attending parades, parades and exploring destinations near Hanoi.
Welcoming the travel trend during the National Day, many travel companies have launched their own designed tours, notably the Vietravel product set "Hoa ap with national concert" with 6 journeys associated with historic parade events at Ba Dinh Square, combined with sightseeing of special places in the North and the Vietnam Military History Museum.
Hanoitourist introduces many unique tours such as visiting the bomb shelter under Sofitel Legend Metropole Hotel, city tours, bicycle tours, culinary tours and night-time experiences, combined with exploring the architecture, culture and modern life of the capital.
The Hanoi tourism industry has also proactively prepared and launched a series of new products such as the "Nam Thang Long - Hanoi Heritage Road" route, Dao people's tea bathing experience in Ba Vi, agricultural tourism in Phuc Tho commune.
The leaders of the Hanoi Department of Tourism assessed that the tourism stimulus program of the capital will promote linkages, exploit traffic advantages through the Red River and Duong River tourism routes connecting to Hung Yen, Ninh Binh, Bac Ninh, Hai Phong, and at the same time, expand tourism space to Ba Vi, My Duc, and Soc Son to extend accommodation and increase spending for visitors.
However, the heat from Hanoi has caused airfares and hotels to increase, or rooms are out of stock early. Travel agencies and consultants from travel companies recommend that travelers book services through reputable businesses at good prices early and avoid falling into scams.
In addition to to tours to Hanoi, many tourists still choose to go to the beach or relax at cool destinations. Tours to Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan (China), South Korea... attract Vietnamese tourists thanks to reasonable prices and convenient entry procedures.
In the first 7 months of 2025, Hanoi is estimated to welcome 18.36 million visitors, of which more than 4.2 million are international visitors, with 2.97 million international visitors staying. Tourism revenue reached about VND 73,000 billion, up 14.5% over the same period in 2024.
In July alone, according to the Hanoi Department of Tourism, the city welcomed 2.8 million visitors, international visitors accounted for nearly 20%, bringing in 10,680 billion VND. Currently, Hanoi has 3,761 accommodation facilities with 71,200 rooms, of which 85 hotels and apartment buildings are rated 1-5 stars.
From August to September, a series of events to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 are taking place and will take place, opening a "golden time" for the capital to continue to attract tourists.
