On October 29, the Hanoi People's Committee issued Document No. 5801/UBND-NC on organizing fireworks displays at the Closing Ceremony of the 2025 Autumn Fair according to the proposal of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Document No. 5635/BVHTTDL-BQTG dated October 23, 2025.
The plan is that the high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks display will take place after 9:00 p.m. on November 4, at the Vietnam National Exhibition Center - 890 Truong Sa Street, Dong Anh Commune.
However, at present, the Central provinces are being heavily affected by a prolonged flood, causing serious damage to people, property and infrastructure.
In the spirit of sharing and accompanying people in disaster areas, the Hanoi People's Committee proposed that the Fair Organizing Committee stop organizing fireworks displays at the Closing Ceremony of the 1st Autumn Fair in 2025.
A day earlier, the Ministry of Industry and Trade had an urgent report to the Prime Minister on shortening the scale of the Closing Ceremony of the Autumn Fair in 2025.
Accordingly, the Ministry proposes not to set off fireworks, not to broadcast or broadcast the Closing Ceremony live to share and accompany people in disaster areas, while aiming to use resources economically and effectively.
