This morning (6.), the 1st Party Congress of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MOCST) for the 2025-2030 term solemnly opened at the Opera House (Hanoi).
At the Congress, Mr. Le Hai Binh - Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism presented the Political Report of the Party Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
Mr. Le Hai Binh said that with the motto "Determination to act - Aspiration to contribute", the entire Party Committee promotes the spirit of solidarity, strives to overcome difficulties and challenges, synchronously and effectively implements the Resolutions of the Party, the National Assembly, and the Government, achieving important, quite comprehensive results with many bright spots and outstanding marks.
After nearly 5 years of implementing the Resolutions of the Party, National Assembly, Government, and Resolution of the Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term, the fields of culture, information, sports and tourism have achieved positive and quite comprehensive results, some aspects of work have been breakthroughs, many outstanding bright spots.
Since the 2021 National Cultural Conference, activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Vietnamese Cultural Outline, awareness of the position and role of culture in the sustainable development of the country have been raised and widely spread throughout society.
The legal framework is reviewed overall, and is gradually being improved. Investment resources for culture are gradually being focused on in the direction of caring for culture, investing in culture is an investment for sustainable development.
The work of preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritage and culture of ethnic minority areas has received more attention. Art programs to celebrate important political events, while serving the people's enjoyment needs, are organized methodically, with focus and key points, in many forms, overcoming the difference in cultural enjoyment levels between regions and areas across the country.
Foreign cultural activities create many strong impressions contributing to promoting the image and people's country of Vietnam. The mass sports movement is being promoted, attracting more and more people to participate in regular physical exercise. High-performance sports have achieved some important milestones. Tourism has grown well, a bright spot in the country's socio-economic picture.
Journalism, communication and publishing work contributes to strengthening trust, arousing strong motivation and resources among all classes of people, the business community and the whole society.
Mr. Chu Dinh Dong - Member of the Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the Government Party Committee announced the decision of the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee on appointing the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Accordingly, the Executive Committee consists of 32 personnel; the Standing Committee consists of 9 personnel. Mr. Nguyen Van Hung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Government Party Committee Standing Committee, Secretary of the Ministry Party Committee, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism - holds the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for the 2025 - 2030 term;
Mr. Le Hai Binh - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the Ministry Party Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Mr. Nguyen Tuan Linh - full-time Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for the 2020 - 2025 term - hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for the 2025 - 2030 term.
