Joheirry Mola Dominguez, representative of the Dominican Republic, just crowned Miss World 2026 in Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa, on the evening of September 5. Meanwhile, Elisabeth Reynés of Spain won the title of 1st runner-up, and Taanusiya Chetty of Malaysia was 2nd runner-up.
After overcoming 111 contestants from many countries and territories, this victory helped Joheirry Mola become the second beauty from the Dominican Republic to win the Miss World crown, after Mariasela Álvarez in 1982.
Joheirry Mola was born in 2002, from Santo Domingo. She is 1m75 tall, fluent in Spanish and English.
Mola won the Miss World Dominican Republic 2025 contest, thereby becoming the representative of the Dominican Republic at the Miss World 2026 beauty arena.
The 24-year-old beauty possesses a fairly diverse educational and professional background. According to her profile on the official page of Miss World, Mola graduated with a degree in Business Administration and Operations from the University of Iberoamericana (UNIBE).
However, education is the field she puts a lot of heart into. The beauty is currently a teacher of Literature and Social Sciences, teaching in English, thereby encouraging students to develop critical thinking and comprehensive development ability.
Besides teaching, Mola is also a professional model, reporter and community activist. She used to be a reporter for Univision New York's "Ventana a Quisqueya" program, where she reported on Dominican Republic culture, social issues and community stories.
In 2026, she continued to appear as a Univision reporter at major events in her hometown.
A highlight in the journey of the new Miss World is "Voices of Tomorrow", a community initiative founded and run by her. The project aims to expand English learning opportunities for children and teenagers in vulnerable communities, helping them build self-confidence, develop themselves and prepare for future opportunities.
