"Flip Side 8: Sun Hands" is set in a group of young people living in the harsh Central region who are passionate about music, dreaming of becoming "idol".
The main character is Tam (played by Doan The Vinh) - a 17-year-old young man, good at studying, and has musical talent. Tam and a group of friends in the same hometown like to form a music group, registering to participate in a talent competition. Everything started when the group passed the "parking rounds", had the opportunity to perform on a large stage, an almost unattainable dream for children in poor villages.
While Tam and her group of friends were happy and joyful to show their talents, Mr. Phuoc (played by Long Dep Trai) - Tam's father strongly opposed Tam on her artistic path. For Mr. Phuoc, focusing on singing professionally like that would make it difficult for Tam to pass the university entrance exam and could only walk on the sand hill all her life.

In addition to the story of pursuing dreams, the conflicts and differences in the way of thinking of many generations in the family are also shown very realistically and touch the deepest layers of emotions in this trailer.
Like many other parents, Mr. Phuoc loves Tam and hopes for Tam to have a good life, but what Mr. Phuoc shows only makes the father and son more stressed. The conflict reached its peak when Mr. Phuoc affirmed that the path he directed Tam was the only path leading to success.
In a moment of lost calmness, Tam shouted at his father, asking him the question back, which was also what Tam had been wondering for a long time: "If you really knew which path to success, would my family be that poor?"
"When will I be able to decide my own future", Tam's question to her grandmother is probably the same question that many young people ask their parents.
The gap between generations in viewpoints and thinking, along with the fear of failure that cannot be expressed in words from the parents' level, may have unintentionally made children feel held back, not listened to and understood.
Prolonged and unable to express conflicts will gradually make family members move away. Unconditional love, silent sacrifices, nurturing the future from parenting to a point when children will almost not be recognized, cannot feel anymore.
The last part of the teaser with the message "let the advice stop at the advice level" is emotional.
The cast participating in the film includes veteran actors such as Meritorious Artist Kim Phuong, Meritorious Artist Huu Chau, Meritorious Artist Tuyet Thu, Meritorious Artist Chieu Xuan, Ngan Quynh, Kieu Trinh, Long Dep Trai, Quach Ngoc Tuyen...
