Talking to Lao Dong reporter about the meeting with 200 artist delegates of General Secretary To Lam, director Ly Hai said: "I am very honored to be chosen as one of 200 delegates representing the national artist team to attend the meeting with General Secretary To Lam.
This is not only a personal pride but also a valuable opportunity for me to listen, learn and discuss the role of art in the development of the country. This makes me feel even more proud and aware of my responsibility.
General Secretary To Lam's speech not only inspired me, but also deepened my love for art and opened up new ideas for the journey ahead."
At the meeting, General Secretary To Lam highly appreciated the role of artists and affirmed that the Party and State always pay attention to and create favorable conditions for artists to create art.
The director shared: "Personally, I feel very touched when the role of artists is understood and recognized. Not only that, the fact that the Party and State always create favorable conditions and build spaces for artists to create is an important foundation for us to confidently develop," Ly Hai shared.
Ly Hai added: "As a producer, director and screenwriter, I have clearly seen this through the State's support policies, from promoting domestic film production, protecting copyright, to expanding opportunities to bring Vietnamese cinema works internationally.
More importantly, this support creates a vibrant creative community where artists can collaborate and grow together."
Talking about his responsibility to the country's art, director Ly Hai expressed: "I believe that each work of art is not only an entertaining story, but also carries the mission of reflecting the national soul, evoking humanistic values and inspiring beautiful living as well as introducing to the world the beautiful images of the country, culture and people of Vietnam.
In this period, this becomes even more important as we need to integrate with the strong cross-fertilization of global cultures.
Through my films, I hope to create a space for audiences to contemplate and appreciate the simple but profound things in life."
Talking about his expectations after meeting with General Secretary To Lam, Ly Hai shared: "I hope that in the coming time, not only me, but all artists will continue to receive attention and support to carry out creative projects in the most effective way.
As for me, I am nurturing new film projects, focusing on exploring more deeply the culture and people of Vietnam. I hope that these works will not only be well received domestically, but also contribute to bringing Vietnamese culture to international friends.
I also hope that 2025 will be a breakthrough year, not only for me personally, but also for the entire Vietnamese cultural and artistic industry. With the attention of the Party and the State, I believe that artists will have more motivation to continue creating more works of art that touch the hearts of audiences."
