According to the producer's announcement, Victor Vu's film "Detective Kien" will premiere on April 30, coinciding with the release of Ly Hai's film "Flip Side 8".
On March 4, the film "Detective Kien: Ky an khong dau" - marking 20 years of working in cinema by director Victor Vu - revealed many new information.
The film "Detective Kien: The Unforgettable Project" belongs to the spiritual - thrilling - crime-solving genre. The main cast in the film includes: Quoc Huy as Inspector Kien, Dinh Ngoc Diep as Hai Man, Quoc Anh as Thac, Anh Pham as Tuyet and Minh Anh as Nga.
The film is set in the Nguyen Dynasty about 200 years ago, when the character of detective Kien was invited to a village to investigate a mysterious missing case. The characters of Inspector Kien and Mrs. Hai Man had a previous connection from the movie The Last Wife. The two continue to journey together in a new story that takes place 3 years after the events of the Last Wife, related to the missing Russia (Hai Man's niece) rumored to be related to ghosts and the terrifying story of headsless bodies drifting to the riverbank.
The film crew's clip released on April 4 revealed that the film highlights the image of two main actors: Inspector Kien (Quoc Huy) and Hai Man (Dinh Ngoc Diep) in the transformed space: The devastated leaves, the gloomy mountains and forests. In front of both are the images of a roll with two hands reaching out with scratches, blood, and tears.
The new release date announced by the producer is the April 30, 2025 holiday. Previously, the film was announced to be released on May 16, 2025.

Also on March 4, Ly Hai's film "Flip Side 8" suddenly announced the information that the film would premiere on April 30. Thus, Victor Vu's project will compete with Ly Hai's film in the hundred-billion-dong race.
