The opening program of the Mid-Autumn Festival - Autumn Fest 2026 takes place at Nhac Nuoc Lake, Ha Long Marina Bay Urban Area, organized by Bai Chay ward in coordination with BIM Group and Quang Ninh City Youth Union.
This is the second year the festival has been held.
The festival has cultural, artistic, and folk games for children, people, and tourists.
In the culinary area, nearly 50 stalls introduce dishes. People, tourists and children participate in activities such as arranging Mid-Autumn Festival trays, making star lanterns, making Mid-Autumn cakes, bamboo dancing, tug-of-war.
In the opening night, the art program "Lanterns Lighting Dreams" took place at the water music lake area stage, including two parts: "Happy Mid-Autumn Festival" and "Proud of Quang Ninh City Young Bamboo shoots", with singing, dancing, and dance performances for children.
The children also had the opportunity to interact, receive gifts, watch the lion and dragon dance performance - Mai Hoa Thung art, a light parade with more than 120 model cars and the HaloBay Show water music program.
At the program, player Nguyen Hai Long, a national team player from Quang Ninh, shared about his journey to pursue football, guiding and interacting with children to juggle football.
On this occasion, the Central Youth Union, the Delegation of National Assembly Deputies of Quang Ninh City, the Quang Ninh City Youth Union and BIM Group presented many gifts to outstanding children who overcame difficulties and rose up in their studies and life.
The festival continues to take place on the evening of September 19. According to the program, the expected activities include breaking the feast with a Mid-Autumn cake weighing nearly 200kg, the ritual of lighting the full moon with festival drums and a collective lantern procession with the participation of thousands of children.
