Hong Loan has just taken a new move when she said she wants to complain to the lawyers of the opposition (i.e., artists Hong Nhung and Hong Phuong - 2 biological mothers and children), because she is said to have violated the prohibition of the Law on Lawyers by protecting the rights of two people with opposing interests at the same time.
According to Hong Loan, Hong Phuong's lawyer both protected her son (i.e. Hong Phuong) in the inheritance dispute of her uncle (artist Vu Linh) and protected her mother (artist Hong Nhung) in the inheritance dispute of her brother.
Besides, Hong Loan continued to mention the long-standing conflicts between the parties, saying that she had chosen to remain silent many times but now decided to speak out to defend her point of view.
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper on the afternoon of July 23, Hong Phuong denied information that her lawyer protected two people with opposing interests at the same time.
My lawyer correctly defends the plaintiff (i.e. artist Hong Nhung - Hong Phuong's biological mother). And I am a person with related rights and obligations and have a protector for my own legitimate rights and interests," Hong Phuong said.
When asked about Hong Loan's announcement that she would send a complaint to the Vietnam Bar Federation, Hong Phuong said that her side was not too worried.
According to Hong Phuong, procedural activities are all carried out in accordance with legal regulations, so if there is a complaint, the competent authority will consider it based on the dossier and current regulations.
In addition to the content related to the lawyer, Hong Phuong also said that she is in a comfortable mood and is not worried about anything before the upcoming appellate hearing.
The heritage dispute of late NSƯT Vu Linh between Hong Loan and Hong Phuong and Hong Nhung has lasted for many years and gone through many trials.
Previously, the appellate court postponed the trial twice for many reasons. The most recent time, Hong Loan applied for a postponement of the trial because it was believed that she was hospitalized and could not attend the trial as requested by the court.
