After the controversial film "Queen Woo", Ji Chang Wook returns with the crime action project "Gangnam B-Side".

Set in Gangnam (Seoul, South Korea), "Gangnam B-Side" is a crime action film revolving around Kang Dong Woo (Jo Woo Jin) - an elite police officer who was demoted overnight.

As someone who never stops moving forward once he sets his sights on something, Dong Woo decides to search for information because his friend's daughter went missing in the Gangnam area.

On this journey, Dong Woo meets Yoon Gil Ho (Ji Chang Wook) - a mysterious broker who dominates the Gangnam area. To survive, Gil Ho goes through difficult days, living in the darkest corners of the luxurious city.

In the first images of Gil Ho, Ji Chang Wook was praised by Xports News for his attractive appearance with a handsome appearance in a fur coat and flashy accessories. The scars on his cold face and emotionless eyes are also the points that create an impression for the character.

Sharing about the role, the Korean actor revealed: "I spent a lot of time putting makeup on my scars during each filming. Although the hairstyle, clothes, earrings and tattoos are important, the most important aspect for me is the scar on my face."

According to Ji Chang Wook, Yoon Gil Ho rarely has a clean face, and the scar will be "the biggest tool that can succinctly express the life this character has lived."

This point of identification also adds to the appeal of Gil Ho's hidden circumstances and the daily challenges he faces.

To better transform into the role, the male star focused on expressing Gil Ho's relationships with other characters.

"As someone who draws a clear line between those on his side and those on the other side, Gil Ho expresses himself more through his eyes and actions than through his lines.

So I focused on my expressions in every scene. This was a completely new challenge for me - a different version from the previous Ji Chang Wook."

Meanwhile, Jo Woo Jin - who collaborated with Ji Chang Wook in the movie "Hard Hit" (Death Sentence in a Car, 2021) also praised his junior for his charm and depth. He believes that the audience will enjoy his co-star's new image.

In addition to the two actors, "Gangnam B-Side" also features two "beautiful women" Ha Yoon Kyung and BIBI - Ji Chang Wook's co-stars in the movie "Horror Crime".

The film is scheduled to be released on November 6.
