On the afternoon of July 1, the film "Love in Vietnam" was officially released at the Ariyana International Convention Center (Da Nang), within the framework of the Da Nang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF 2025). This is the first film collaboration between Vietnam and India, marking a turning point in the cultural cooperation relationship between the two countries.
The premiere was attended by artists, filmmakers and representatives of international organizations. The film was directed by Rahhat Shah Kazmi, with many scenes filmed in Da Nang, bringing impressive frames, contributing to promoting the image of Vietnam to international friends.
With the Vietnamese title "Love from the first sight", the footage revealed is not only a sketch of a romantic love story but also a celebration of the beauty of the landscape, people and culture of Vietnam, aiming to introduce the beautiful image of the country to international audiences.
The work received active support from both the Embassy of India in Vietnam and the Embassy of Vietnam in India during its development and production. Along with that, the film crew also received active support from the localities where the filming location was set.
The film revolves around a beautiful love between an Indian guy and a Vietnamese girl. The young man named Manav, passionate about singing and music, was brought to Vietnam by his father to attend a agricultural training course at a university.
Here, he fell in love with a young girl appearing in a self-portrait at an art exhibition he visited. Manav is determined to find that girl in real life, and finally meet Linh, a painter and dancer.
At first, Linh did not think about having a relationship, but gradually she realized Manav's sincerity through his gestures and actions. Their love grew, but they also encountered difficulties due to misunderstandings; and Linh decided to give up the relationship...
The film was filmed in many famous localities of Vietnam such as: Da Lat, Da Nang, Hoi An, Phu Yen, Nha Trang and Ha Long... The main setting is set in Da Lat. In addition, the coastal scenes of the Central region along with the majestic scenery of Ha Long have created a vivid, colorful cinematic picture.
The event not only affirmed Da Nang as an ideal international film destination, but also promoted cultural exchange and film production cooperation between Vietnam and India in the future.
