7 travel businesses exploiting the Russian tourist market jointly signed a petition reflecting the unfair competition of a business in the area.
According to the reflected content, Russian travel businesses have invested significantly in charter flights, marketing activities, destination promotion and constantly increasing exploitation output to restore and sustainably develop the Russian tourist market to Vietnam in general and Nha Trang in particular.
However, recently, the above 7 businesses recorded sales programs of a unit named A.T in the Russian market with abnormally low display prices compared to the general level.
According to feedback from customers, distribution agents and the market monitoring process of businesses, the displayed price above has a significant difference compared to the actual price that a hotel is offering to travel businesses and DMC (destination management company) jointly exploiting the Russian market.
Businesses believe that this situation is creating negative impacts on the tourism supply chain.
Displaying low prices can cause confusion for customers about the real value of products and services; and at the same time create competitive pressure on businesses that are investing and implementing transparent price policies.
For charter travel businesses (Tour Operators), according to feedback, the above situation not only affects reputation and business efficiency but also reduces investment motivation, affecting the ability to maintain and expand flight routes from Russia to Vietnam.
Regarding the above reflection, Mr. Cung Quynh Anh - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa province said that next week, the unit will work with businesses that have been reflected on selling at low prices for services serving the Russian tourist market.
The Department will also work with 7 businesses that have signed complaints to clarify related contents.
After having the settlement results, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa province will respond to the press agencies.
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Long Bien - Standing Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee - confirmed that he has assigned the Office of the Provincial People's Committee to advise and resolve the case according to its authority regarding the reflections of the above 7 enterprises.
