Developing labor resources
Gia Lai is strongly developing industrial parks, industrial clusters and economic zones to attract businesses to invest and build factories. The large workforce is an advantage for businesses to pour investment capital, both improving production and business efficiency and meeting the needs of human resources.
According to Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, the province has a large labor market with the combination of the Central Highlands and the South Central Coast. The labor force in the area is relatively abundant, accounting for about 57.5% of the total population, ensuring human resources for economic sectors, especially industry, high-tech agriculture and services.
The network of training institutions and vocational education institutions is increasingly developing, including universities, colleges and many other vocational education institutions. The quality of training is gradually being improved, meeting the basic needs of the local labor market.
Mr. Duong Mah Tiep - Vice Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee - informed that Nhon Hoi Economic Zone and economic zones, industrial parks, and industrial clusters in the province are developing strongly, creating many job opportunities on the spot, contributing to reducing labor migration and helping people easily access jobs.
Statistics from the Gia Lai Provincial Department of Home Affairs show that in the period 2021 - 2025, the Provincial Employment Service Center provided and introduced jobs to 40,029 people, with a successful job connection rate of 22.63%. In the period 2021 - 2024, there were 107,963 students who were awarded diplomas or certificates after training, including: College level 5,009 people, intermediate level 5,976 people, elementary level and other vocational training 96,928 people.
Many businesses, vibrant part-time job market
To make the labor market develop vibrantly and contribute to ensuring social security, Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee proposed that central ministries and sectors implement many solutions. In which, focus on forming concentrated raw material areas associated with deep processing; supporting the development of cooperatives, cooperative groups, small and medium-sized enterprises, and business households.
At the same time, encouraging the development of occupations such as brocade weaving, bamboo and rattan weaving, agricultural product processing, pharmaceuticals, forestry and traditional occupations. In addition, Gia Lai Provincial Social Policy Bank continues to prioritize capital sources for programs to solve employment, reduce poverty, support workers going to work abroad under contracts and lend to people who have completed their prison sentences.
Statistics show that by the end of June 2026, local budget capital entrusted through the Provincial Social Policy Bank reached 2,237 billion VND. In the first 6 months of the year, lending turnover reached more than 4,028 billion VND, with 50,703 turns of poor households and policy beneficiaries receiving loans.
Credit capital is focused on key programs such as job creation support; clean water and rural environmental sanitation; production and business development in difficult areas; social housing; lending to poor households, near-poor households, newly escaped poor households and new credit programs according to Government regulations.
From policy credit capital, Gia Lai province has supported job creation for 19,409 workers; helped 7,730 turns of poor households, near-poor households and newly escaped poor households access capital for production development; supported 8,327 households in difficult areas to borrow capital; created conditions for 3,630 students in difficult circumstances to continue studying.
Synchronous policies will create conditions for workers to find suitable jobs, have stable incomes, improve their lives, and at the same time contribute to increasing labor productivity and promoting socio-economic development of the province.
