On the evening of September 18, in Quang Tri, the Provincial People's Committee coordinated with Vietnam Television to organize a live TV program "Words of gratitude - Fire River" associated with the Ceremony to announce and receive the Certificate of National Historical Relic of Long Dai Fishing Port II.
The war has been postponed for more than half a century, but the memories of the fierce years are still deeply imprinted in the hearts of the nation. Quang Tri - the land of the railway line that once preserved historical sites: Quang Tri City, the two banks of Hien Luong - Ben Hai, Khe Sanh, Doc Mieu, Con Tien... along with Long Dai ferry terminal, the coordinates of the fire used to be a strategic transport artery on Truong Son road.
Here, many young volunteers (TNXP) have bravely sacrificed their lives while carrying the goods across the river, maintaining traffic blood vessels. Their peach blossoms contributed to the victory, leaving a strip of the river continuously.
Today, Long Dai II ferry terminal is not only a historical relic, but also a vivid relic of the cruelty of war and the indomitable spirit of the nation. The decision of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to rank this place as a National Historical Site is both a gratitude and an affirmation of the eternal value of Long Dai ferry terminal in the history of the resistance war.
The program was attended by leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Provincial Party Committee - People's Committee of Quang Tri province, leaders of Hung Yen province... and relatives of the Youth Volunteers who sacrificed and supported the people.
The event gathered many famous artists such as MC Lai Van Sam, MC Hong Nhung, singer Tung Duong, Anh Tho, Ho Ngoc Ha, Tan Minh, Hoa Minzy, Pham Thu Ha, Duong Hoang Yen, Quoc Thien, Viet Danh, Nguyen Hung... creating an emotional art program, both expressing gratitude and spreading the tradition of patriotism and indomitable will to today's and future generations.
This is a meaningful activity, demonstrating the nation's "Remembering the source of drinking water", contributing to making Quang Tri an attractive cultural - spiritual historical destination for domestic and foreign tourists.
