Recently, the Korean drama awards APAN Star Awards announced the nomination list for this year's season.
APAN is Korea's only integrated drama awards ceremony, honoring content from all platforms including the 3 major broadcast networks (KBS, MBC, SBS), cable channels, OTT (online platforms), and web dramas.
This year's awards honor dramas that aired from November 2023 to October 2024. The 2024 APAN Star Awards will take place on December 28 in Seoul.
In the nomination list, the year's outstanding works and the cast of the films appeared such as "Queen of Tears", "Good Partner", "Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born", "Lovely Runner", "Korea–Khitan War"...
APAN is also divided into many categories for long-form drama, mid-length drama, short drama, so the opportunities for actors are more expanded.
Notable names including Kim Soo Hyun, Byeon Woo Seok, Ji Sung, Ji Chang Wook, Im Si Wan, Kim Ji Won, Kim Tae Ri, Kim Hye Yoon, Jang Nara, Honey Lee were nominated in the category of Best Actor/Actress in a medium-length drama.
The competition in these two categories is of interest, because they are both main actors of Korean films that caused a stir in many countries in 2024.
