My Troublesome Star tells the story of Bong Cheong Ja (Uhm Jung Hwa) - a former top star who is trying to return after losing 25 years of memories. On that journey, she received help from police officer Dokgo Chul (Song Seung Hun).
The project was noticed when it marked the return of Uhm Jung Hwa after the success of the movie Doctor Cha, and was also a reunion of her and Song Seung Hun after 10 years since the movie The Unwilling Wife (2015).
